Consultation Paper: London Borough of Newham’s proposed transition from Grants Programmes to a Commissioning Process.

This consultation paper sets out how LB Newham proposes to move from a grants based system to a commissioning approach through which the Council will specify what services or initiatives it would like delivered and will invite and encourage not-for-profit organisations, particularly those from the Voluntary, Community and Faith sector (VCF) also called the Third Sector, to express their interest in bidding for those service contracts.
