Primarily deliver services to - organisations:
NVSC acts as Newham's Community Empowerment Network. It deliver services to all Voluntary, Community and Faith Organisations based in Newham
Areas of specialism:
Team of dedicated specialists who provide a range of resources to organisations, including:

organisation of the Community Empowerment Networka dedicated Faith Worker for the 600 faith organisations delivering services in Newham.

Fundraising advice and support including using Grantfinder.

Policy advice and helping groups keep up to date with new initiatives.

A range of capacity building advice and information to enable organisations to become sustainable and one to one development

Signposting

Lead organisation on ChangeUp and the Local Area Agreement.
Extent of support to organisations:

Support to Local Strategic Partnership Representatives to ensure they are able to consult regularly with organisations, primarily via sector meetings and report back to the Civic Partnership as representatives of the sectors

Organising events

Facilitation of a range of Networks including Newham Somali Partnership, Children and Young People's Group and Children and Young People's Mental Health Group

Quarterly Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector meetings

Quarterly newsletter to all 1600 organisations and elected members. Inserts can be included at minimal cost.

Fortnightly E - Bulletin

Generally there is no charge for the services provided by NVSC and these are available to all sectors working in Newham.
How support is delivered:Support is provided to the voluntary, community and faith sector groups by: phone, e-mail, visits to groups and appointments. We have an open door policy. However it is preferable to ring first to save wasting your journey.

dditional capacity to support more groups? Yes.We do have capacity to see more groups, however if the support required is longer term and intensive we refer to other agencies.
