Questionnaire on barriers to commissioning public services

As you may be aware, Newham Council are preparing to change their current grant system to a commissioning system, in line with the government’s modernisation plans to move from the ‘traditional’ grant funding to contracting out services to local Voluntary Community and Faith sector organisations. Through funding from ChangeUp, NVSC, The Renewal Programme and Aston-Mansfield Community Involvement Unit are carrying out a piece of work to determine what barriers there may be for groups to tender to deliver public services. Following on from this, support packages will be developed to better equip groups to feel more confident about entering into the commissioning process.
Click here to see the a short questionnaire designed to get information from Voluntary, Community and Faith sector organisations within the borough about what they feel the barriers are to commissioning public services.

We would, therefore, find it very valuable if you could spend a short amount of time completing the questionnaire and retuning it to the address below by Thursday 24th May so that we can collate the information gathered and produce a report outlining the main concerns, barriers and issues faced by groups. This will then enable us to produce tailored support packages of training and advice for groups in the borough to help give them the best chance of success.

If you have any queries or difficulties using the form, please contact me either by email or on the number below and I will try and help. If you know of other groups that may be interested in completing the questionnaire please do forward it on to them. Thank you for you help. Apologies if you receive this more than once.
