Procurement, Commissioning and Public Service Delivery: A view from the larger BASSAC members
1. Introduction
1.1 Over the course of the last year several issues around delivery of public services have been raised by a number of the larger members of the bassac network.
1.2 Concerns have been raised about involvement and engagement in the development of Local Area Agreements (LAAs), and about the process of commission and variations in the way in which public sector bodies are looking to procure and commission.
1.3 Given the significance of these issues and the implication they have for the bassac membership as a whole, it was felt necessary and appropriate to gather information from the larger members of the network to determine a broad view of the current position.
