Welcome to Newham ChangeUp
ChangeUp is a government initiative designed to improve voluntary and community sector (VCS) infrastructure and aims to ensure that by 2014 frontline voluntary community organisations will have the support they need to achieve their potential, that support is available nationwide, that it's effective, accessible, and reflects and promotes diversity and is sustainably funded.
ChangeUp identified several areas which impact the work of frontline organisations. To support the work on the local & regional level, national hubs have been created:
The Newham Partnership was set up to enable its members to coordinate and develop capacity building support services which are proactive, joined up, responsive, high quality and sustainable. It will be accountable for the direction of all activities that relate to the development and implementation of the ChangeUp agenda in Newham.
The partnership prepared the Infrastructure Development Plan, which they are working to implement.
